Thomas A. Maloney
April 7, 1923 — February 18, 2024
Thomas A. Maloney, 100, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18th, 2024, at Harrison House of Georgetown. He was born April 7th, 1923, in Milford, Delaware.
Tom served honorably as a combat engineer in World War II, after the war he was a heavy equipment operator until age 90, a founding member of Greenbriar Hunting Club, and an avid outdoorsman. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents McKinley and Averla, and his son Edward.
He is survived by his wife of 77 years Gladys, his son Barry (Aileen), his daughter-in-law Donna, his grandchildren Chris, Ryan, Clay (Sarah), Jenna (Beau), and great-grandchildren Chase, Dylan, Behr, Buck, and Bennett.
Funeral services will be held at Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford, DE on Thursday, February 29th at 1pm with visitation at noon. Burial services will be at Milford Community Cemetery.
