Rusty Everett Wall, a beloved son, father, and honored veteran, passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2025, in Milton, Delaware, at the age of 45. Born on June 22, 1980, in Redding, California, Rusty graduated from Evanston High School, laying the foundation for a life characterized by service, friendship, and a deep commitment to helping others.
Following his high school education, Rusty proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from April 27, 1999, until his honorable discharge on June 9, 2012. Rising through the ranks to Staff Sergeant (E6), he specialized in telecommunications, serving as a Telecommunications Systems Chief and Tactical Switching Operator. His dedication to his fellow Marines earned him numerous accolades, including the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, Pistol Sharpshooter Badge, Certificate of Commendation, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (2nd Award), Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (4th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2nd Award), and Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2nd Award). Many of the proudest moments of his life were marked by the achievements he accomplished while serving in Fallujah, underlining his commitment not only to his country but also to the bonds formed with his military brothers.
After his military service, Rusty brought his technical expertise to Beebe Healthcare, where he worked as an IT specialist. His colleagues and those who sought his assistance greatly appreciated his friendly demeanor and selfless nature. Rusty was known for going above and beyond to care for others, embodying a spirit of generosity that made a lasting impact on those around him.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Rusty enjoyed interacting and connecting with people online through video games. His passion for technology and innovation was evident in his deep love for all things high-tech, reflecting a fascination that extended beyond mere hobby into an essential part of his identity.
Rusty leaves behind his loving mother, Patricia Wall; his cherished daughters, Tristelle Wall and Mirielle Wall; his uncle and aunt; many cousins; and his military brothers, all of whom will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Patricia Wall.
In honor of Rusty’s life and legacy, a funeral service will be held on September 26, 2025, at Short Funeral Services in Georgetown, Delaware, beginning at 11:30 AM, followed by a graveside service at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro at 1:00 PM.
Rusty Everett Wall will be remembered as a caring individual who exemplified kindness, camaraderie, and unwavering support. His spirit will live on through the memories of those who loved him and the countless lives he touched throughout his journey.
