Rosetta Mae Bunting of Georgetown passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 93.
Rosetta was born on December 5, 1932, in Millsboro, De the daughter of the late Ollie and Annie (Rust) Bowden.
Rosetta then moved to Georgetown in 1959.
Rosetta attended church at Sandhill Fields in Georgetown.
She was a member of the Pocahantas (Red Men) and the American Legion Post #28 Millsboro. In her younger days Rosetta raced Go-carts, she also enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, going to auctions and even going to the slots for a little fun, but mostly enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to both parents, Rosetta was preceded by her husband Lester, sister, Virginia Lewis, brothers Norman and Preston Bowden.
Rosetta is survived by her children; Patricia Bunting, Evelyn Willey (Charlie), Lester (Porky) Bunting (Lisa), Steve Bunting (Carol); 9 grandchildren; Toni Whemlinger (Phil) Brent Jackson (Kristen, Jessica Collins (W. T.) Collins, Nathan Bunting (Kelsey) Staci Smith (Cody), Jamie Cahall (Jason), Aimee Millman (Curtis), Tyler Bunting, Thomas Bunting (Colleen) and 9 great grandchildren.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, 11am- 1pm in the chapel of Short Funeral Services 609 East Market Street, Georgetown with funeral services starting at 1pm. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery immediately following.
