Ronald J. "Ronnie" Ellingsworth

ELLENDALE – Ronald J. Ellingsworth, a lifelong resident of Ellendale, passed away peacefully at Christiana Hospital in Newark, on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the age of 71.

Born on November 16, 1954, to Mrytle J. (Schreck) Ellingworth of Ellendale, and the late Charles J. “Chuck” Ellingsworth. He was known to everyone as Ronnie.

Ronnie loved watching football and cheering for his beloved Philadelphia Eagles. In his day, he was known as a very good and particular house painter.

In addition to his father, Ronnie was preceded in death by his brother, Phil Ellingsworth.

Ronnie is survived by his two sons, Hank Ellingsworth and Bruce Ellingsworth (Ashley), his mother, Myrtle Ellingsworth, as well as many cousins, and friends.

At Ronnie’s request there will be no services.
