Robert W Weikel, of Georgetown, Delaware, passed away on February 16, 2026. He was born on June 27, 1935 in Perkasie, PA. Robert is survived by his wife, Carol (Robinson) and son, Terry Scampton (Shirley) and stepchildren, Steven (Barbara), Kimberly (James, deceased), Carol Ann, Frank (Gail), and John, Deceased. Also survived by six grandchildren, Sean, Sara, Vinnie, Nikki, Abby, Kyle and four great grandchildren, Kai, Lua, Annabella and Siobhan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Robert was proud to serve in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He enjoyed travelling, camping and spending time with his family. Robert was a quiet and kind man whose favorite pastime was gardening, feeding the birds and fixing things around the house.

A viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Short Funeral Services, 609 East Market Street, Georgetown, DE from 10:30 to 11:30 followed by a prayer service. Military Honors will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Tunnel to Towers charity which Robert loved and supported. Their address is: The Tunnel to Towers Foundation; 2361 Hylan Boulevard; Staten Island, NY 10306.
