Obituary

“

Bobby lived a life marked by warmth, generosity, and a deep love for the people and places that meant the most to him.

Robert Keith Maltese "Bobby" passed away on October 21, 2026, on his 75th birthday. Born on October 21, 1951, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Bobby lived a life marked by warmth, generosity, and a deep love for the people and places that meant the most to him.

In 2007, Bobby became a fulltime Delaware resident, where he built a life centered on family, home, and hospitality. He had a special connection to his home, known by some locals as "The Isaacs Mansion", and he took great pride in making it a welcoming place for those he loved. He loved his family and his home, and that devotion was reflected in the way he lived each day. Bobby was always improving his home for others, and he was known for being able to fix nearly anything. His skillful hands and caring heart were evident in all he did.

Bobby embraced life with enthusiasm. He loved traveling, especially to Italy and cruises to the Caribbean. He found joy in cooking, gardening, home improvement, and being around nature. He loved entertaining and inviting people into his life, creating lasting memories through shared meals, conversation, and laughter. A very giving person, Bobby was known as the life of the party, with an upbeat personality, a talkative nature, and a fun spirit that made him a pleasure to be around. His presence brought energy and comfort to those fortunate enough to know him.

Bobby is survived by his husband Brain Stiles, his mother Elizabeth Rutenberg, his sister Linda Hack (Jim), his sister Cathy Johnson, his brother Michael Cuttilo (Dawn), and his brother Timothy Coffey. His loving in-laws include Donna Stiles, Lorenda DuSell (Noll), and Daron Stiles (Stephanie). Bobby cherished his many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind countless memories with the family and friends who were welcomed so easily into his life and home.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Frank Maltese, and by his brother, Frank Maltese Jr.
