Riley James Lott passed away on September 18, 2026, just ten days after his birth on September 8, 2026. In his brief time here, Riley was deeply loved and tenderly cherished.

Riley loved to snuggle, to have his ear kissed by his dog Stella. He loved to be read to. He knew, in every moment of his life, what it meant to be surrounded by unconditional love. Held close by his family, he was a precious little boy whose presence was a gift, and whose memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Samantha Elwell, and his father, Hunter Lott. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandparents, Lynne and Daniel Lott; Renee and Jason Durham; and Joseph Elwell, as well as by his aunt, August McAllister. He will be wholeheartedly missed by his great grandparents, aunts and cousins as well. Riley was embraced by a family who adored him completely, and that love will continue to carry his memory forward with great tenderness.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Carl Peter; his great-grandmother, MaryAnne Brainard; and his cousin, Mellissa Dawn.

Though Riley’s life was brief, it was filled with warmth, gentleness, and love. He will be remembered for the comfort of his snuggles, the sweetness of quiet moments, and the deep joy he brought simply by being here. His family will hold him close in their hearts always, treasuring every moment and every memory of their beloved Riley.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the Camden-Wyoming Fire Company Fire Hall located at 200 E. Camden Wyoming Avenue in Camden, Delaware.
