His educational journey showed his commitment to personal growth and development. Ray was known for his warm disposition; he enjoyed socializing with classmates and had a good sense of humor that endeared him to many.
A proud Delaware native, Ray remained in his home state throughout his life. His dedication to the state's community was evident in his work with the Delaware State Fair, where he felt a deep sense of pride in their accomplishments and contributions to local towns.
Ray is survived by his sister, Eleanor Brown, and her husband Dale Brown, who cherished their bond and shared memories together. He was preceded in death by his parents, Smith and Ida Roland, whose legacy he honored through his life’s work and values.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the visitation ceremony on September 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM at Berry-Short Funeral Homes in Felton, Delaware.
