Ralph A. Moore, 79

GREENWOOD – Ralph A. Moore passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.

Ralph was born in Milton, Delaware, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Warrington) Moore. Ralph worked as a carpenter for many years with Mil-Del Corporation in Milford and was a member of AFL-CIO Trades Union in Pennsylvania.

Ralph was an avid fan of NASCAR, and enjoyed cheering on his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt. He also loved bowling and was instrumental in starting the High Rollers bowling club with his co-workers at Mil-Del.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and five siblings, Hazel, Joseph, Trudy, Bill, and Mike.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife, JoAnne (Carmean) Moore; two daughters, Teresa Bradley and husband David, Nicole Abbate and husband Mark; five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Krista, and Bryan Bradley, Elizabeth and Colin Abbate; three great grandchildren, Danielle, Hunter and Chance; four siblings, Margaret Bradley, Otis Moore, David Moore, and Johnny Moore; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Homes, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, Delaware, where a time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow in Milford Community Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
