Ralph A. Drumbore

Jul 11, 1944 — Sep 2, 2026

With profound sadness and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Ralph Allen Drumbore, 82, of Georgetown, Delaware, who passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026.

Born on July 11, 1944, in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, Ralph was the beloved son of Allen and Hilda Drumbore. He attended Philadelphia College and went on to enjoy a successful career as an engineer at the DuPont plant in Seaford, Delaware, where he dedicated more than 27 years of service.

Ralph was a man of quiet strength, kindness, and humor. Many in the community knew him from spending time at his wife Nancy's store, Middleford Deli, where he enjoyed visiting with customers, filling sodas, sharing stories, and making friends wherever he went. He had a lifelong love for farming and fishing, but nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family. Whether sharing a meal, offering a helping hand, or simply enjoying the company of those he loved, Ralph made every moment meaningful.

Above all else, Ralph was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His love, guidance, and unwavering support will be cherished forever by those fortunate enough to have known him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Drumbore; his son, Brian Drumbore and wife Julia; his stepdaughters, Laura Coates and husband Rob, and Lisa Goslee; and his grandchildren, Isabella, Olivia, and Jessa Drumbore; Amanda Coates, Will, Jonathan, and Angela Goslee. He also leaves behind many loving relatives and dear friends whose lives were enriched by his presence.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Hilda Drumbore; his brother, Robert Drumbore; his sisters, Kathryn Drumbore, Marilyn Naudascher and her husband Stanley, and Melanie Drumbore.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ralph's life at a funeral service on September 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Services located at 609 E. Market Street in Georgetown, Delaware 19947. A viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VITAS Healthcare or the Alzheimer's Foundation in Ralph's memory.

He will be remembered for his kindness, quick wit, generous spirit, and deep love for his family.
