Patricia A. "Patsy" (Beideman) Brown

MILTON – Patricia A. “Patsy” Brown passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 3, 2023.

Patsy was born in Lewes, daughter of the late Alvin and Lydia (Jefferson) Beideman. Patsy was a lifetime resident of Sussex County and had worked as an administrative professional with Reed Trucking, TIE, King Cole, Happy Harry’s and most recently, Walgreens. She enjoyed working and would step in where needed, including unloading stock deliveries. She reluctantly retired in 2020 during the pandemic.

When Patsy wasn’t working, she kept her hands busy knitting, especially washcloths that were given as gifts, and she very much enjoyed watching Law and Order.

In addition to her parents, Patsy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond W. Brown, Sr., and two grandsons, Kyle Pianka and Raymond Brown, III.

She is survived by three children, Raymond W. Brown, Jr., and wife Carol, Wayne Brown Sr., and wife Terry, and daughter, Rhonda Brown-Hughes and husband Jeff; five grandchildren, Gregory Pianka, Jr., Kurt Pianka, Wayne Brown, Jr., Desiree McCall, and Rayna Brown; 13 great-grandchildren, Kayla, Hunter, Brooke Ann, Molly, Easton, Tyler, Brady, Khloyee, Raylin, Raymond, Olivia, Elizabeth, and Bella; two siblings, Margaret Quillen and husband Pat, David Beideman and wife Debbie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, December 8, 2023 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal Street, Milton, Del 19968. A time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Henlopen Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to Accent Care Hospice, 220 Continental Drive, Newark, De 19713.
