Norman Madison "Norm" Remick, Jr., age 94, of Lincoln, Delaware, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, at his home with his beloved wife, Mildred Louise "Millie" (Autry) Remick by his side. Born on June 1, 1931, in Ossipee, New Hampshire, Norman's life was a testament to resilience, kindness, and unwavering faith.
A proud veteran, Norm served for four years in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict Era as a photographer, an experience that shaped his perspective on life and service to others. After his military service he would go on to forge a successful career as a salesman of printer equipment for Pitman Co., where he was known for his caring nature and ability to connect with everyone he met—never truly meeting a stranger. Later at the age of 72 he pursued his education, earning his GED because of not being able to complete high school due to joining the Army.
Norm was a devoted member of Avenue United Methodist Church, where he found community and purpose. In retirement, he dedicated himself to volunteer work through his local church and also Meals on Wheels, exemplifying his devotion to helping those in need. His commitment to service extended further at the remarkable age of 88 as he began providing free medical equipment to the community through the Milford Lions Club as the Director of Medical Equipment in his remaining years.
Norm's legacy will be cherished by his loving wife of 74 years, Millie; his sister-in-law, Martha Vienneau; his great niece, Jennifer Clark; and his granddaughter, Rachel Massre and her husband David. He joins in eternal rest with his parents, Norman M. Remick, Sr. and Ethel (Evans) Remick, as well as his beloved children, Norman M. "Matt" Remick III and Norma Ann Remick; his sister, Norma Ann Blake; and his brother, James Evans Remick.
As we reflect on Norman's life, we remember a man who lived with love, purpose, and a profound sense of duty to others. His spirit will continue to inspire family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made instead to Avenue UMC's Matthew Project, 20 N Church St. Milford, DE 19963.
