Mina J. Wells

Mina J. Wells, a beloved member of the Milford, Delaware community, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, in her home in Lincoln. She was born on July 14, 1943, in Milford and dedicated her life to helping others, working for the State of Delaware in a capacity that touched countless lives.

Mina was known for her caring and loving personality, which endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. A member of Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford, she found strength and community in her faith. Mina’s passion for reading was evident; she was an avid reader who particularly loved mystery books. She had a great appreciation for the arts of cooking and baking, often creating delicious meals and treats for her family and friends.

Mina is survived by her son, Randy Sharp; her grandchildren, Kramer Sharp and Kate Sharp; and her great-grandson, Jayce Dennis. She also leaves behind her brothers, Robert Goodrick and Richard Goodrick, who cherished her deeply. Mina is preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Kathryn Goodrick, and her grandson, Adam Sharp.

A memorial service to remember and honor the life of Mina Wells will be held on Tuesday, September 9 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home at 119 NW Front Street in Milford, Delaware. A time of visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon and the service beginning at 12:00 noon.

Her legacy of love, compassion, and dedication to family will continue to resonate with those she touched throughout her life. Mina J. Wells will be remembered fondly as a nurturing matriarch and a vibrant spirit in her community.
