Michael Joseph Graves, affectionately known as Graves, passed away on September 30, 2026, in Milton, Delaware. He was born on August 27, 1985, in Huntington, New York, and will be remembered as someone who brought energy, loyalty, and heart to the lives of those around him.

Michael made his living as a heavy equipment operator, a role that reflected his strong work ethic and steady determination. He was someone who worked hard and played hard, giving his full effort to both his responsibilities and the things he loved most. Those who knew him understood that he was the kind of person who went out of his way for the people he cared about, offering support, time, and friendship with generosity and sincerity.

Outside of work, Michael found joy in the thrill of competition and the fun of shared interests. He enjoyed go kart racing, online gaming, and working on BMX bikes, passions that spoke to his adventurous spirit and his love of excitement. These interests were part of the life he embraced so fully, and they helped shape the memories that family and friends will continue to treasure.

Michael leaves behind many family members and close friends who will carry his memory forward. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and remembered for his caring nature, his drive, and the unmistakable way he lived life on his own terms.

A memorial service will be held on October 17, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Services in Milton, Delaware at 416 Federal Street.
