Mary Betty Jenkins

Mary Betty Jenkins, a beloved homemaker, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on August 29,2026, at the age of 90.

Mary was born on September 27,1935, in Lewes Delaware, to the late Henry S. Cook and Alice Magee. She later made her home in Milford, Delaware, where she devoted her life to her family and the people that she loved.

Mary was married to the late Clarence E. Jenkins. She was a dedicated homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family and creating a loving home. Her kindness, strength, and devotion to those round her will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Mary is survived by her beloved children, Tammy and Bill Hewett, Henry E Jenkins (Vickie), and Carol Thompson, who was like a daughter to her; as well as her cherished grandchildren Daniel Hewett (Christa) , Nathan Hewett, Chloe Fields.

Mary's family was the center of her life, and she will be deeply missed by her loved ones, friends, and all that knew her. Her memory will live on through the family she loved so dearly and the many lives she touched throughout her 90 years.

May she rest peacefully beside her beloved husband, Clarence, and may her memory forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

A funeral service celebrating Mary's life will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at noon at First Baptist Church located at: 6062 Old Shawnee Road Milford, Delaware 19963.

Family and friends are welcome to come together to remember, honor, and celebrate Mary's life.
