Mary Jane Hill, born on March 9, 1949, in Longview, Washington, passed away on June 25, 2025, at Bayhealth Sussex Hospital in Milford, Delaware. She was deeply loved by her family, church, and community.
Mary Jane lived in Delaware for more than 60 years, having moved from Ohio. She was characterized by her loving and kind nature, embodying the fruit of the Spirit in all of her interactions. She enjoyed making crafts and cherished spending time with her family, particularly on Sundays, which was her favorite day of the week. Her devotion to her faith was evident in her love for church and her active participation in her prayer group, where she was known as a prayer warrior.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Harry Hill; her daughter, Jennifer and John Paul Santander; and her sisters, Joanne and Fred Regal, and Beverly and James Ulbrich. She is also survived by her cherished nieces and nephews: Patty and John Emler, John Regal, Cindy and Jerry Ingaldi, Rebecca and Robert Costello, Charles and Andrea Ulbrich, and Amanda and Derek Foster, Cassie and Richard Pietron, and many other nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her great nephew Sean, who affectionally called her "Nana".
Mary Jane was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Florence Bovee; her sister, Evelyn Bakers; and her brothers, Fred Bovee and Ray Bovee Jr. She also mourned the loss of her nephew, Ricky Regal.
A visitation will be held on July 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at Bay Shore Community Church - Millsboro Campus, located at 36759 Millsboro Hwy, Millsboro, DE 19966.
Mary Jane Hill will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her legacy of love, kindness and faith will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
