Margaret A. Ware

Margaret Ann Ware died peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2022 in Lewes surrounded by her loving husband Charles and daughters. She was born November 29, 1929 in a farmhouse in Felton to John and Elizabeth Ware. She loved reminiscing of growing up on the family farm and telling tales of her childhood spent with her siblings. In her heart, her beloved Felton would always be home. She was preceded in death by her son Ronald Hughes, parents John and Elizabeth Ware and her siblings: John"Buddy" Ware, Jaqueline"Dudie" Hall, Mary Emily"Sis"Green, Vincent "Vinnie" Ware, Ruth "Poder' Kemp, and Jean "Duckie" Kish. She married the love of her life Charles in 1962 and resided in Felton for most of her life. She and Charlie owned and operated Ware's Market in Felton for 17 years. Prior to that Maggie was a homemaker and in earlier years worked for Diamond State Telephone as an Operator. Margaret is survived by her loving husband Charles, and daughters Carol Pastore(John Pender) of Frederica, Sandra (Rob) Kramer of Dover, Pamela (David) Kaplan of Lewes, Jennifer(Wesley) Herholdt of Milford, step-daughter Deborah (James) Smith of Felton, her adoring grandchildren, sister-in-law Anne Ware of Felton and many beloved relatives. She was always full of life and laughter. She kept her sense of humor and creative wit until the very end. Maggie always wanted the occasion of her passing to be a happy occasion, not full of sadness. Her passing on St. Patrick's Day is befitting to her joyous fun loving spirit. The family wishes to thank Delaware Hospice and especially her nurse Chelsea for the wonderful care she gave over the past year. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Delaware Hospice. A private celebration of life will be held. .
