Linda Lee Roach, born on October 24, 1950, at Beebe Hospital in Lewes, Delaware, passed away on February 10, 2026, at Delaware Bay Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Georgetown, Delaware. A lifetime resident of Delaware, Linda is remembered for her vibrant personality, Christian faith, and love for the simple joys in life. She enjoyed coffee on her floral adorned patio while watching the birds and squirrels.
In her younger years, Linda found joy in dancing and cherished summers spent enjoying Dairy Queen malted milkshakes while gazing at the beach or sitting by the lake. She leaves behind a legacy of love and connection through her children, William "Billy" G. Wise, Jr. (Kimberly), Cynthia McGinnis (late husband George McGinnis), and Lori Matthews (Tyrone). She was a loved grandmother to many, including Dustin, Frankie (Colby), Nate, Hailey, Ashley, Hunter, Ryan, Joshua, Nathan (Kim), Ryhlee (Zajet), Aleysha, and Kendrick, as well as great-grandmother to Storm and Luka.
Linda is also survived by her sister, Joyce Darby (Buddy), bonus sisters Judy Esposito and Bessie Leibley, her dear friend Pat Murphy, and loving caregiver Jazmine. She shared close ties with William G.W. Sr. and his wife Pat, who was not only the father of her children but they were also good friends. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Colburn Roach and Gladys M. (Hurd) Roach; her second husband, Richard Walizer Sr.; her third husband, Marvin Wise; her sister, Mary Helen Dial (William Charles); and her lifelong best friend, Julie Kilby.
A viewing will be held on February 19, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Short Funeral Services in Milton, Delaware. This will be followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, concluding with a burial at Henlopen Memorial Park at 2:00 PM. Linda's remarkable spirit and love for her family and friends will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
