Leon Ralph Tucker, born on November 6, 1950, in Milford, Delaware, passed away peacefully at his home in Greenwood on January 15, 2026, under the care of Delaware Hospice. He was 75 years old.
Leon was a dedicated worker whose career spanned various fields, starting as a carpenter and progressing to farming. In more recent years, he worked as a truck driver for Del. Pulp Wood and Perry Butler, and was currently employed by Mike Rifenburg, driving a Peterbilt.
An avid motorcycle enthusiast, he was a proud member of the United Tour Riders of Delmarva, having traveled across all 48 continental United States on his Goldwing.
He is remembered as a very hard worker and is survived by his father, Ralph Tucker; his life partner of 33 years, Kathryn Bruns; sons, Bruce, Ralph, and Michael "Jake" Tucker; siblings, Charlotte Startt, Betty Wilson, Gloria Tucker, David Tucker, and Steven Tucker; as well as five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, with one more great-grandchild on the way. He was predeceased by his mother, Hazel (Kennard) Tucker.
Viewing services will be held on January 22, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Berry-Short Funeral Homes in Milford, Delaware, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM. Interment will take place at Henlopen Memorial Park in Milton, Delaware, starting at 1:00 PM.
