Kody E. Crowley-Thompson, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 10, 2025 at the age of 23.
He was born on August 09, 2001, in Dover, DE, the son of Casey S. Thompson and Caitlin E. Crowley. He is a graduate of Milford Senior High School.
Kody was an employee of Park Place in Milford and held different positions as he was highly intelligent and loved learning new things. He loved working with people and always gave a hundred percent in everything he did.
Kody was a vibrant and loving soul, known for his infectious smile, sparkling blue eyes and his love of life. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Heat. He enjoyed watching games with friends and family. Kody was not only a fan but he also loved playing basketball and football with his brothers and friends, and enjoyed any activity outdoors including walks on the beach with his dog Ace. Kody loved music, mostly rap, but recently starting listening to all different types of genres. He was always saying a line from a rap song or singing a melody he was just listening to. He also enjoyed shooting pool and belonged to the APA pool league with his home team being Park Place. If you knew Kody, you knew he was passionate about food; he loved trying new foods, and his favorite dish was chicken alfredo and he drank Mountain Dew like it was water. Kody was a participant in DECA throughout school and won various competitions. He was very intelligent and had a bright future ahead of him.
He was preceded in death by his loving grandfather, Dennis Edward Crowley; his grandmother, Patricia (Begley) Crowley; his great-grandfather, W. Pierce Thompson, Sr.; and his pop-pop William S. Bigelow.
Kody is survived by his mother, Caitlin E. Crowley; father, Casey S. Thompson and step-mother, Lisa Thompson; and his step-father Thomas Porter; his brothers, Bryce Thompson, Carter Rollison, Trent Dewey, Ethan Porter, Brock Thompson, and life long best friends Jacob Bryant, Mandez Coxon, and Antoine Johnson; his sisters, Hailey Thompson and Mackenzie Rollison; his paternal grandparents, Christie Millman and husband Keith, Pierce Thompson, Jr. and wife Bonnie; his paternal great-grandmother, Doris Thompson; and his nana Mary Bigelow, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom will all miss him dearly.
A funeral service will be held at Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, DE 19963 on Sunday, July 20, 2025. Visitation will be from 11:00am-1:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
