Kenya Adriana Hernandez Gomez, born on January 17, 2003, daughter of Imelda Gomez Ortiz, began her eternal rest on May 6, 2026.

Since childhood, she was always loving, joyful, cheerful, and happy. She began her educational journey at the age of 3 in Head Start and attended Telamon for two years. From a very young age, she loved school. At the age of 5, she began attending Georgetown and North Georgetown Elementary.

She always enjoyed participating in Middle School and High School events. One of her favorite sports was soccer. Kenya was the second of five siblings and was always an exemplary sister to her younger brother and sisters. She graduated from Sussex Central High School in 2021. Over time, she began working as a medical assistant, working 8 hours a day while pursuing her dream of becoming someone greater in her educational journey. She began studying to become certified in her goal of radiology. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Another of her favorite activities was going to the gym. One of her greatest wishes and dreams was to travel and visit Guatemala, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain, and Egypt.

She was a young woman full of love and joy. She was a beautiful light who brightened, uplifted, and brought smiles to those around her. Although her departure came far too soon, she will be deeply remembered, greatly missed, and eternally loved.

From the day she was born, we lovingly called her “Chatita” because when I first saw her face, I noticed her little rosy cheeks.

Chatita, we love you, we will remember you, and you will always live in our hearts. Amen.

Kenya Adriana Hernandez Gomez nacida el 17 de Enero del año 2003, hija de Imelda Gomez Ortiz inició el descanso el 6 de Mayo del año 2026.

Desde niña siempre fue cariñosa, alegre, sonriente y feliz. Ella inició su carrera estudiantil desde los 3 años con el primer año en Head Start y por dos años en Telamon. Una niña que desde la pequeña edad le gustaba estudiar. Llegando a sus 5 años empezo a ir a Georgetown y North Georgetown Elementary.

Siempre le gustaba participar en eventos de la Middle School Y High School. Unos de sus deportes favoritos era el futbol. Kenya era la segunda hermana de cinco hijos, siendo siempre una hermana de ejemplo para sus hermanos menores. Ella se graduo de la Sussex Central High School en el año 2021. Conforme el tiempo ella empezo a trabajar como medica asistente laborando 8 horas diarias y con el sueño de poder ser alguien mejor en la vida estudiantil. Empezo a estudiar para certificarse en su meta que era radiología. En su pasatiempo le gustaba pasar tiempo con su familia y amistades. En otro de sus pasatiempos le gustaba ir al

gimnasio. Uno de sus grandes deseos y anhelos era poder viajar y conocer Guatemala, Mexico, Puerto Rico, España y Egipto.

Era una joven llena de amor y alegría. Era una hermosa luz que iluminaba, alegraba y hacía sonreír a quienes la rodeaban. Aunque su partida llegó demasiado pronto será profundamente recordada, extrañada y eternamente amada.

Desde su nacimiento le llamamos de cariño Chatita porque al verla por primera vez la vi a su cara y le vi sus cachetitos rosaditos.

Chatita te amamos, te recordaremos y siempre vivirás en nuestros corazones. Amen.
