Joseph C. Gordon Jr.

Joseph Coley ‘Joe' Gordon, Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Milford Memorial Hospital on Thursday, March 15, 2018.

Mr. Gordon was born in Georgetown to the late Joseph and Alice Gordon, Sr and was self-employed as a painter. He loved country music and watching westerns. Joe was a great family man and loved spending time with his family and talking on the phone with them.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gloria Gordon; two daughters, Michelle Hopper and husband, Timothy "Whitey" and Teresa Sharff and husband, Steven; three sisters, Jeanette Hudson and late husband, Frank, Doris Wilkins and husband, Wayne, and Joan Williams and husband, Harold and one brother, Harry Gordon and wife, Pat; five grandchildren, Jaime Gordon, Tim Gordon, Steve Sharff, Jr., Eric Sharff, and Brittany Sharff; five great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Aubree, Kinsley, Hunter, and Haley; along with many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, DE 19947, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery.
