Joseph H. Donovan

Joseph H. Donovan, a dedicated laborer and proud farmer, passed away on October 2, 2025, at Cadia Healthcare- Renaissance in Millsboro. Born on December 15, 1942, in Redden, Delaware, Joseph was a lifetime resident of Georgetown.

He is survived by his sisters, June Donovan and Dorothy Cannon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Preston E. and Alice G. (Burton) Donovan, as well as his siblings, Elizabeth White, Albert Donovan, and Charles Donovan.

Joseph was a valued member of the CHEER Center in Georgetown for more than ten years, where he enjoyed participating in card games, bingo, and coloring. His contributions to his community and his passion for farming will be long remembered.

Viewing services will be held on October 8, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Short Funeral Services in Georgetown, followed by the funeral service from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM. Interment will take place at Conley's Chapel Cemetery in Lewes at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Cheer Center in Georgetown, Delaware in honor of Mr. Donovan.

Joseph H. Donovan will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
