John G. Daniels

John G. Daniels of Felton, Delaware departed this life at the age of 87 on October 11, 2026.

John was born on June 11, 1939 and grew up in Freeburn, Kentucky. He was descendent of the renowned McCoy family in the Appalachian Mountains. He lived in many other states as a young man before making his home in Delaware. He started his life long career as a carpenter hanging drywall. His skills eventually evolved into him owning his own business building residential homes throughout the state. John enjoyed being a carpenter and took a lot of pride in his work. When John was not swinging a hammer, he enjoyed being outdoors.

John is preceded in death by his wife, Genevia Daniels, his parents, Jossie and Frank Daniels, his siblings Ruth McClain, Ersie Reynolds, Alma Moeller, Helen Devlin, Ellen Glandin, Phyllis Daniels, Franklin Daniels, Frank Daniels, Jr., William Daniels.

John is survived by this daughters, Jowana Lamb (husband Terry), Melinda Daniels and Alfreda Daniels. Grandchildren Jason Daniels, Jenna Lamb, Jamie Daniels, Tracy Lamb and James Jordan Phillippi and many great grand children, one great great grandson, and many nieces and nephews.

A private service will be scheduled by the family at a later date.
