John Carroll Bailey, born on December 20, 1942, in Southeast, New York, passed away peacefully at his home in Camden Wyoming, Delaware, on July 3, 2026. Throughout John's life he was known for his strong will, stubbornness & never being afraid to speak his mind.
John’s life was marked by unwavering commitment and quiet dedication, qualities that defined his 24-year career in the United States Air Force. As a grandfather, John took great pride and pleasure in the accomplishments and joys of his grandchildren: Steven Spencer, Toni James, Allyson Mercier, and Kaylee Mercier. He also cherished time spent with his great-grandchildren: Riley, Summer, Levi, Benjamin, Bodhi, Malaya, and Kaylani, each bringing an extra measure of light into his life. John’s family circle also included Toby, who held a valued place among his loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, Linda G. Bailey. He leaves behind his son, Donald Spencer, and daughter-in-law, Melinda, as well as his daughter, Gayle Myran, and son-in-law, Alan.
