MILTON – Jerry C. Kiser passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 66.
Jerry was born on November 27, 1958, son of the late Thomas L. and Nora Lee (Moore) Kiser.
At an early age Jerry moved from Wilmington, Delaware to Kennett Square, Pennsylvania where he met and married Fran. Jerry and Fran had two boys, Kevin and Eric. After 13 years in Kennett Square, they moved to Atglen, Pennsylvania. After retiring, the family decided to move to Milton, Delaware where they have since made their home.
Jerry worked for General Motors for 25 years before retiring.
Jerry was a volunteer fireman for over 50 years, serving as Fire Chief of Kennett Square, a member of Cochranville, and Fame Fire Company in West Chester. After moving to Milton, Delaware he was a member of Milton Fire Department for the past 13 years with his last position serving as Safety Officer.
In addition to both parents, Jerry was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Thomas, Gary and Eddie Kiser.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Francine G. “Fran” (Gibson) Kiser, two sons; Kevin Kiser of Parkesburg, PA and Eric Kiser of Milton, DE; brother, Daniel LeGates of Christiana, PA and sister, Shonia LeGates of Parkesburg, PA.
A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held, 11:00am on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Milton Fire Company, Station 85, 116 Front Street, Milton, DE 19968.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Milton Fire Company, 116 Front Street, Milton, DE 19968.
