Janet “Judy” Rae Swain, 84 from Amberson, Pennsylvania (formerly of Lincoln, Delaware) went home to be with our Lord on January 11, 2026, at 9:50 p.m.
She was the beloved wife of the late G. Walter Swain (of Swain Construction Company) of Lincoln, Delaware.
Born on April 2, 1941, in Cottontown, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late James Raymond King and Ruby Lucille King, as well as her beloved Poppa Rod Monach who she was proud to also call Dad after the passing of James King.
Judy, as most people knew her, was an avid bowler at the Milford Bowling Alley on a team known as The Hustlers.
Judy and her bestie Rose Pollard were often seen around town hanging wallpaper together, even though they both had their own wallpapering businesses.
Judy and her husband Walt frequented the Harness Track with their partner/trainer/driver Joe and Linda MacDonald where they had many winning horses, including Lincoln Bandit, Lincoln Rocket, and St. Pats Promise to name a few.
Walt and Judy were the proud owners of the Milford Putt-a-Rosa which also hosted several Delaware State Horseshoe Tournaments, a mini golf course, batting cages, and a skateboard park, where she was known as Mrs. Judy.
Judy loved spending time crocheting, coloring, and reading.
Judy is survived by her son Robert J. Wilson and his wife Robin, granddaughter Carmen Wilson Edwards and her husband Roy, daughter Kimberly J. Wilson Rogers and her husband Ed, grandson Michael Rogers and Cara Horner, grandson Brandon Rogers and his wife Beth, granddaughter Caitlin Rogers Creed and her husband John, daughter Karen White Pechart and her husband Shawn, grandson Seldon “Scott” Cohick and his wife Jessica, grandson Sean Swain Cohick and his wife Lauren, daughter Kelly Rae White Peregoy, grandson Charles “Chip” Peregoy, grandson Trea Peregoy and his wife Taylor, Judy’s sister Kathy Delmore and her husband Jerry, Judy’s sister Kristy Giardinelli and her husband John, and Judy’s niece Sheree Lynch and her husband Leonard.
In addition to her husband and parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother James R. King II (little Jimmy), her sister Barbara LaFave, and her granddaughter Brianna Edwards.
Judy left this world but was very blessed, leaving a beautiful legacy of eighteen great-grandchildren to carry on her memory.
She will be missed but never forgotten to the moon and back until forever!
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Lincoln Cemetery Fund, PO Box 1, Lincoln, Delaware, to further honor Judy's memory.
