Howard Frank Parker, Sr., a well-known plumber and master electrician, passed away on November 25, 2025, in the comfort of his own home. He was born on April 16, 1933, to the late Paul and Hazel Parker of Georgetown, Delaware. Howard lived a fulfilling life, marked by his dedication to his career and his passions.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Barbara Parker; son, Howard Parker, Jr. (Ruth), and daughter, Dee Parker (Jimmy Roberts). He also leaves behind a devoted daughter-in-law, Deborah Spencer; as well as several grandchildren: Nick Bronson, Derek and Shawn Parker, Brandon and Nancy Parker. Howard was a proud grandfather to his great-grandchildren, Logan Parker (Madi Arnold), Elijah and Noah Bronson. His sister, Pauline Brewington, and many nieces, nephews, and family members also cherish his memory.
Howard was preceded in death by his sons, Gary Parker and Allen Spencer; and his granddaughter, Dawn Renee Elliott. He also mourned the loss of his sisters, Evelyn Padfield and Margaret West.
In addition to his work in plumbing and electrical services, Howard was a fan of NASCAR and dirt racing, which brought him joy throughout his life.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Tracy, Tosha, Barbara, and Uncle Danny.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Milton, Delaware. The service will begin at 1:00 PM.
Contributions can be made to the funeral home, Short Funeral Services in Milton, Delaware, to defray funeral expenses.
