Guy James Ferrar, born on January 24, 1949, in Oceanside, New York, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, at Bayhealth Sussex Hospital in Milford, Delaware. He was a devoted family man, a skilled professional, and a cherished member of the communities he touched throughout his life.

Guy’s lifelong passion for working with engines and motorcycles shaped not only his career but also his identity. Beginning as a diesel mechanic, he later took to the road as a truck driver, proudly owning and driving his own Ford Mech rig. His commitment extended beyond his personal endeavors as he was an active part of the Teamsters’ Union. A true road warrior, he drove across every state in the United States except Hawaii, forging countless memories along the way.

His pride in his Harley-Davidson motorcycle was emblematic of the community and camaraderie he had with his fellow bikers. Guy was proud to have formed a strong connection around motorcycle riding, creating bonds rooted in shared passion and mutual respect. Among his fondest memories were attending Woodstock with his friend Marty and making lasting memories with his friend Kenny, experiences that reflected his adventurous spirit and love of life.

Guy spent his formative years growing up in Freeport, Long Island. He was widely known for his sharp wit and humor, always bringing laughter and joy to those around him. Yet beyond his humor, he was steadfast in his care and dedication to his family and friends. His generous nature left a mark on his loved ones and the wider community.

He is survived by his sister, Michele Wickett, and will be deeply missed by his nephews and niece, who carry forward his legacy. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Yvonne Ferrar, whose memories he held dear throughout his life.

Guy James Ferrar lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and connection. His journey from Oceanside to countless roads across America, his devotion to his craft, and the bonds he nurtured with family and friends remain a testament to a life well lived. He will be remembered with respect and affection by all who knew him.
