It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gregory E. Stubbs, affectionally known as Greg, who was born on May 31, 1966 and left this world on January 31, 2026.

For many years, Greg founded and operated Heartwood Flooring. He took immense pride in his work, pouring his heart and soul into every project.

Greg leaves behind his beloved wife of 38 years, Karen Stubbs, who stood behind him through life’s challenges. He is survived by his four children: Kristin (David) Prince, Amanda (Christopher) Sullivan, Luke Stubbs (Ashley), and Lacey Stubbs.

In addition to his immediate family, Greg is remembered by his father-in-law, Jim Hitch, and his sister, Gwen Stubbs, whose support was invaluable to him. Greg is remembered and loved by many other family members.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy McKinney Cramer.

Rather than mourning his passing, the family requests that you join us in a celebration of life at Shiloh Community Church in Laurel, DE on May 30 at 3 pm.
