Gladys Mervine Wade

Gladys Mervine Wade, age 76, of Lincoln, Delaware, passed away peacefully at home on May 28, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. 

Gladys was born in Johnson County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Clint Lipford and Edith Snyder Segnor. Gladys was a homemaker and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed yard sales, cooking, Country Music, and a cold beer from time to time. 

Those remaining to cherish Gladys are daughters, Tina Snyder and her husband William of Lincoln, and Mary Kay Wade and her significant other David Rife of Virginia; grandchildren, Nicole, Tiffany, Heather, Evan, Bugsy, Shannon, Vincent, Michael, Amanda, Donnie, Briana, Jayven, KJ, Kashdyn, Music, Bruce, Dylan, Bru, and Maddison; sister, Mary Dunn of Tennessee; many nieces and nephews, especially Mark Potter and Eric Potter of Lenior, North Carolina; and long-time friend Esther and her children Sarah and Matthew. 

Gladys is preceded in death by her children, Benjamin Wade, Jr., Donna Lynn Wade Dignard, and Sheila Faye Wade Mumford; parents, Clint Lipford and Edith Snyder Segnor; sister, Carolyn Conaway; brother, Larry Lipford of Lenior, North Carolina; sister, Ora May of Mountain City, Tennessee; and brother, Jay Snyder of Lincoln, Delaware. 

Graveside services will be held at Lincoln Cemetery in Lincoln, DE at 11:00am on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
