Gary I. Tingle

Gary I. Tingle, of Georgetown, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at his home. He was 78.

Gary was born in Lewes, DE.  He was the son of the late Horace and Hilda (Steen) Tingle.  He worked in construction most of his life.

Gary enjoyed dirt track racing and horse racing.  He was known as, the life of the party, and drinking beer with his friends.

In addition to both parents; Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Prentice Tingle.

He is survived by his 3 daughters, Dawn Short (Norman) of Georgetown, Angela Hendricks (Nick) of Laurel, and Cari Johnson of Chincoteague; sister, Falyn Tingle; brother, Brian Tingle (Debbie); and several grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held the Gumboro Fire Hall on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 12:00 o'clock noon.
