Frederick Wayne Mills

Frederick Wayne Mills of Milford Delaware, passed away on 02/15/2024 peacefully after a longstanding battle with cancer at Polaris Healthcare & Rehabilitation. Although he lived there for just less than a year, the staff and residents at Polaris became a very loving supportive community for him and made his time there enjoyable in his final months.

Fred, 82 years old at the time of his passing, lived a full life and was loved by all who had met him. He was preceded in death by his parents Helen and Delbert Mills, and sister-in-law Joan Mills.

He is survived by his siblings Delbert (Sonny) Mills, James and Myra VanVorst, Sons Walter Mills, Samuel Mills and his 5 grandchildren: Nikki Gray, Zachary Mills, Brandon Mills, Luca Mills, and Emily Mills and great Grandchild Cael Quillen.

There will be a memorial held in honor of Fred at Berry-Short Funeral Home on Saturday March 2, 2024 at noon. A time of visitation will be held the same day beginning at 11:00 am.
