Franklin Steven Revelle, known by most as "Steve Buck", passed away peacefully under the compassionate care of Delaware Hospice at his home in Lincoln, Delaware, on July 31, 2026. Born on October 19, 1952, in Milford, Delaware, Steve spent his entire life rooted in the traditions and community of Sussex County—a true lifelong resident whose humor, warmth, and unmistakable personality left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Steve’s character shined through in every interaction. Quick-witted and never meeting a stranger, he easily turned acquaintances into friends. He was proud of his redneck heritage, bringing a grounded authenticity and plainspoken kindness wherever he went. Steve’s vibrant approach to life made him a cherished companion at gatherings both large and small.

A proud supporter of Philadelphia sports, Steve was an avid follower of the Phillies and Eagles. He also found joy in NASCAR, following Chase Elliott with loyal interest. Steve’s competitive spirit wasn’t limited to being a spectator; he also excelled at baseball, earning the admiration of teammates and coaches alike. He was a skilled hunter and outdoorsman, relishing time spent in the woods or fields, deeply connected to the natural world around him.

Dancing was among Steve’s favorite pastimes, and he brought a contagious joy to the dance floor. His story would be incomplete without mentioning Candy, the beloved dog who earned a special place in his heart.  Over the years, Steve also raised many rabbit dogs, creating fond memories and lasting bonds with each.

Above all, Steve valued family. He is survived by his devoted son, Robert "Bob" Cleveland, and his granddaughter Makayla Cleveland. His loving sisters Kim Daley, Pam Walpole (Keith), and Lisa Ingram (Gary), and sister-in-law Shirley Porter along with many nieces and nephews continue to celebrate his life and memory. Steve’s special Aunt and Uncle, Barbara and Ronald McGee were important figures in his life, as was his dedicated friend Brad Galbreath and many other devoted friends who will dearly miss his presence.

His life was also touched by loss, and he is now reunited with his father Herbert Franklin Revelle, his mother Katherine Mae (Brittingham), his sister Bonnie Revelle, and his brother Keith “Julio” Revelle.

Steve Revelle’s legacy of laughter, resilience, loyalty, and love will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
