Frances B. (Benton) Rittenhouse

REHOBOTH – Frances B. Rittenhouse passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Delaware Bay Rehab in Georgetown.

Frances was born in Wilmington, Delaware, daughter of the late Sudler and Alba (Gudzune) Benton.

Frances was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Lewes. She was also a member of the Lewes Senior Center, enjoyed sewing, and playing Bingo. Frances worked for many years as an associate at Walgreens.

In addition to her parents, Frances is preceded in death by her husband, William H. Rittenhouse; a son, William H. Rittenhouse, III; and granddaughter, Candra Rittenhouse.

She leaves behind her daughter, Diane Soots and husband Rusty; four grandchildren, Matthew (Andrea) Soots, Stephanie (Jay) Jackson, Ryan (Cara) Soots, and Brittany Rittenhouse; nine great grandchildren, Kendyl (Jacob) Bryant, Kylee Soots, Kinsley Soots, Dean Soots, Jenna (John) Heraty, Zachary (Katelyn) Jackson, Easton Jackson, Misha Soots, and Kairi Solt; and six great-great grandchildren, Layne Heraty, Jameson Heraty, Derek Jackson, Collins Jackson, Evelyn Bryant and Adeline Bryant.

At this time there are no formal services scheduled.
