Evelyn “Nat” (Walters) Moore, 83

Felton – Evelyn “Nat” Moore, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Country Rest Home in Greenwood.

Nat, as she was lovingly known, was born in Felton, daughter of the late Samuel E. Sr., and Elmira (Shockley) Walters.

Nat worked as a beautician and was owner of Walters Beauty Salon for nearly 5 decades. She loved watching game shows, playing cards and spending time with her family.

Very active in the Felton community, she was a member of Felton Alumni Association, and life member of Felton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, Nat is preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Walter W. Moore; a brother, Samuel E. Walters, Jr., and sister, Sadie A. Swain.

She is survived by two sons, David W. Moore and wife Kelly, Mark S. Moore and wife Robin; a grandson, Tyler M. Moore and fiancé Taylor Rasmussen; and granddaughter, Taylor M. Moore; a sister, Betty Jo Wood; and brother, Robert Walters; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Nat is also survived by a special friend, Joyce Sipple.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 217 E. Main Street, Felton, Del, where a time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Barratts Chapel Cemetery.
