Edward “Mike” Karr, of Georgetown, passed away surrounded by his loved ones at Tidalhealth Peninsula Regional on October 20, 2026. He was 57 years old.

He was born on Flag Day (June 14, 1969), son of Olive (Robinson) Karr and the late Edward R. Karr.

A graduate of Sussex Central High School, he then went to work as a mechanic for his mentor Bobby Shaffer. Years later, he worked as a mechanic for Mike Blakely, and then worked for Suburban Propane before retiring to spend his time with those that mattered most-his children and family.

Mike enjoyed good food, music, Jeopardy and trivia, wrestling, racing, a good beach day, beautiful sunsets, fishing/boat rides, playing cards, and being the World’s #1 Son, Brother, Uncle, Dad and Poppop. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his quick wit and humor, and his one-of-a-kind infectious laugh. He was the type of man that would do anything for anyone, and didn’t expect anything in return.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward “Eddie” Karr and brother Dwayne “Jeff” Karr. He is survived by his loving mother, Olive (Robinson) Karr; his sister, Aimée Karr Marzullo and her husband Matthew Marzullo; his wife, Chasity Karr; a son, Joey Spicer and his wife Robin; a daughter, Jordan Karr; a son, Tyler Karr and his companion Amelia Wilson; a son Tanner Karr and his wife Sarah Karr; six grandchildren, Sterling Karr, Penelope “PJ” Karr, Michael “Mikey” Spicer, Autumn “AJ” Karr, Sadielynn Karr, and Jackson Karr; his granddog, Daisy; his dog, Winnie; his fur brother, Dusty, and many other family members and friends that he loved dearly.
