Duilio D. Berduo-Morales

Duilio Berduo-Morales, 19, tragically passed away on August 15, 2026, leaving behind a family, friends, and community who loved him deeply. He was born on September 6, 2006, in Seaford, Delaware, to his loving parents, Estela Morales Perez and Benito Berduo Ovalle.

Duilio was a proud 2025 graduate of Colonel Richardson High School. During his time there, he played two years of football and two years of soccer, building lasting friendships and strong connections with his teammates and coaches. He was especially known for the number 54 he proudly wore on the football field. One memorable moment that many will never forget was seeing Duilio being carried off the field after an injury—a testament to the determination and spirit he brought to the game.

During high school, Duilio also completed the automotive program through CCTC, earning numerous certifications along the way. He took great pride in the skills he learned and continued putting them to use long after graduation, working on his own vehicles as well as helping family and friends with theirs. He was someone who could always be counted on to lend a hand and figure things out when others needed him.

Eventually, Duilio found his way into tree work, a profession he dedicated himself to and continued working in until his passing. He was a hardworking young man who took pride in what he did and was never afraid to get his hands dirty.

At home, Duilio was a devoted and loving son and an incredible source of help and support to both of his parents. His father, Benito, lives with paralysis and requires ongoing care, and Duilio played an important role in helping care for him. While his mother, Estela, worked hard to support the household, Duilio was there to help however he could—caring for his father, helping his mother, taking on responsibilities at home, and simply being someone they could depend on. He carried those responsibilities with love and without expecting recognition. His devotion to his parents and willingness to help his family were a true reflection of the caring, responsible, and selfless young man he was.

Beyond his accomplishments, his work, and the devotion he showed to his family, Duilio will be remembered most for the person he was. He had a special way of making friends with everyone he met. His genuine kindness, infectious joy, and unforgettable personality drew people toward him. He could walk into a room and make people feel welcome, and his smile had a way of bringing light to even the hardest days.

To many, Duilio was more than a friend—he was a brother. Some of his closest friends had spent nearly their entire lives alongside him, sharing childhood memories, arguments, laughter, adventures, and countless moments that can never be replaced. Their homes became Duilio’s homes, and their families welcomed him with open arms. He became part of those families not because he had to, but because his heart made room for everyone.

Duilio was the kind of person who showed up when someone needed him. He was there for the good times and the difficult ones, always willing to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or simply be by someone’s side. He gave freely of himself and never expected anything in return. His loyalty, generosity, and willingness to help others were simply part of who he was.

Duilio is survived by his loving parents, Estela Morales Perez and Benito Berduo Ovalle, and his beloved sister, Jazmin Berduo Morales, along with his extended family, lifelong friends, teammates, coaches, coworkers, and the many people whose lives he touched.

There are no words that can fully express what Duilio meant to the people who loved him. His life was far too short, but the impact he made was immeasurable. The memories he created, the people he helped, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave will continue to live on through everyone who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Colonel Richardson High School in Federalsburg, Maryland.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 528 E Stein Hwy, Seaford, DE 19973. The viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:50 AM, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the Mass at Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg, Maryland.
