Constance L. "Connie" Dick

GEORGETOWN – Constance “Connie” L. Dick passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Connie was born in Harrington, Delaware to the late Woodrow and Evelyn (Windsor) Legates. Connie was working, up until two weeks ago, as an administrative assistant for the State of Delaware, primarily for Delaware State Police Troop 4. Connie had served in this capacity for over 75 continuous years.

In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her immaculate yard; time she especially enjoyed together, with her husband, until his passing in 2018.

In addition to her parents, Connie is preceded in death by her husband, George W. Dick.

Connie is survived by her stepchildren, Linda Lee Dick, Patricia D. (Kenny) Moore, William R. West, and Jacqueline D. (Lance F., Sr.) Lynch; three grandchildren, Brandon Robert Moore, Christopher R. West, and Samantha Marie Beach.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 2, 2025, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, Del, where a time of visitation for family and friends will being at 11:00am. Entombment will immediately follow at Union Cemetery.
