Christopher Whelan

Christopher Whelan 69 of Lewes, DE passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.  Born in Brooklyn, NY.  A life long New York Giants and Mets fan who loved spending time with his grandsons.

Preceded in death by his parents father, Aidan; mother, Marilyn; son, Aidan; daughter, Tina; and sisters, Kathleen and Susan.

Survived by son, Chris (Stephanie); daughters, Sarah, and Anna (Marshall); brother, Larry (Irene); sister, Jeanne (Jeff); and his beloved grandsons - Brittyn, Christian, Carson, Gavin, and Kenny; along with many cousins, in-laws, nephews and nieces whom he cherished.

A private memorial service to celebrate Chris’s life was held at December 16, 2024, in chapel of Short Funeral Services, Milton, DE.
