Christopher Alan McCormick

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Christopher Alan McCormick, 60, of Milford on February 26, 2025. Born on November 23, 1964, he was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. 

Chris, a 1982 Cape Henlopen High School alumnus, had a passion for working on small engines, riding motorcycles, and fishing. He was skilled in many areas and could take on any task as a handyman. Chris especially will be remembered for his long, braided ponytail and his free spirit. 

Chris is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Archie Daniels of Love Creek and Kathleen "Kitty" Lowe of Milford; his dad Pastor Jerry McCormick, Sr.; his older sister Michelle Rodriguez; and a nephew Jesse McCormick. 

He is survived by his parents, Roy Harris of North Carolina and Donna Daniels McCormick of Milford; in addition to two younger brothers Dwayne McCormick of Milford and Jerry McCormick, Jr. of Dover; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as his employer and friend, Dr. Jim at Telsa Biohealing in Milford. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. 

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 5:00pm at Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St. Milford, DE 19963. A time of visitation will be held on the same day beginning at 4:00pm. A fellowship will follow at Dwayne's Home at 11339 Simpson Crossing in Milford. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help defray costs at Short Funeral Services, PO Box 233, Milton, DE 19968.
