Christine Churches

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Christine (Kircher) Churches, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 19th, 2025 after a courageous battle with Multi System Atrophy (MSA).

Born on October 8th, 1970, Christine lived an adventurous life. She left her hometown of Dover, Delaware as a teenager to study at George Washington University in Washington D.C. where she spent several years before traveling west to Las Vegas, NV. In Las Vegas she put her natural charm and quick wit to work as a cocktail server at the Golden Nugget for 22 years, often serving in the high-stakes poker rooms where celebrities and movie stars were regulars. Later, she completed her degree at UNLV and followed her passion of working with children as a second-grade school teacher.

While in Las Vegas, Christine discovered her love for the outdoors. She was often found camping, rock climbing, and hiking, and she made regular trips to Yosemite, Yellowstone, Joshua Tree, and other national parks. Her most beloved trips were with her daughter, Brighid Anne, to Mt. Charleston spending many nights under the desert stars. She also loved cosplaying at Renaissance fairs, and even took up sword-fighting lessons.

Christine is survived by her beloved daughter, Brighid Anne, and stepdaughter, Andrea Loretz. She will be missed deeply by her loving sister Kathleen Rodgers and husband John, as well as her nephews Brett Rodgers (with his wife Samantha) and Jack Rodgers along with other loving extended family members.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, William Robert and Catherine Pauline (Ciupinski) Kircher, and her brother, Anthony Kircher.

Christine's adventurous spirit and kindness will live on through her family and the many lives she touched in the Las Vegas community and throughout her life.

Arrangements in the care of Short Funeral Services in Milton, Delaware. Services will be private.
