Barbara Helen Moore, born September 28, 1942, in Milford, Delaware, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Elwood R. Wilkins Sr.; her mother, Grace Wilkins; her brothers, Eugene Wilkins Sr., Elwood “Butch” Wilkins Jr., and Ralph Wilkins; her sister, Betty Schrock; her brother-in-law, Peter Schrock; her sister, Sara Tucker; and her brother-in-law, James “Jimmy” Tucker.
She is survived by her devoted husband, John “Jack” Moore, and their beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Tippy. She also leaves behind her sister, Alice Ross, and brother-in-law, Jim Ross. Barbara was a loving and proud mother to her sons, Duane “Mark” Robbins, Dennis Robbins, and Brian Robbins.
Nothing brought Barbara more joy than her family. She was a cherished grandmother to Kyle Robbins and his wife, Lacey Robbins; Garrett Robbins; Michael Robbins; Maura Robbins; Peyton Robbins; Karter Robbins; Colton Robbins; Presley Robbins; Harper Robbins; and William “Liam” Robbins. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Kady Robbins, Isabella Robbins, Lucy Case, Kade Robbins, and Dax Robbins, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who loved her dearly.
Barbara attended Milford High School and later proudly earned her GED, an accomplishment that meant a great deal to her. Throughout her life, she worked hard and dedicated herself to her family and career. She was employed at Sussex Company in Milford, Delaware; Airpax Electronics in Cambridge, Maryland; Mohawk Electronics in Milford; and Milford Stitching Company before retiring from Dentsply Caulk in Milford in 1994.
Barbara enjoyed bowling as a member of the Sussex Company bowling team, reading, solving crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren — especially driving them around in their golf cart, creating memories they will treasure forever.
Barbara will be remembered for her kind and generous heart, her strength, and her fierce love and advocacy for her children and family. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family appreciates everyone’s love and support during this time and will be holding private services for immediate family.
