Barbara Jean Devine

Barbara Jean Devine, of Bridgeville, DE 80, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, at Christiana Care Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born on July 24, 1945, in Washington D.C. to Herman and Patsy Devine. She was raised in Washington D.C. and graduated from Central HS in 1962. Barbara went on to work for the Federal government where she dedicated many years of faithful service.

Barbara had a deep love for traveling, art, and adventure. She especially cherished time spent with her family and friends. She had a lifelong love for animals and cared for them deeply. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was an active member of Crossroads Community Church in Georgetown Delaware.

Barbara is survived by her son, Todd King; daughter in law Samantha King; and granddaughter Kaitlyn King. She leaves behind her sister Gloria Sager. She was preceded in death by her brother in law Danny Sager, and her parents Herman and Patsy Devine.

A Memorial service will be held in her honor on February 21, 2026 at 12:30 pm at Crossroads Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown Delaware. All are welcome to attend.
