Albert Lee Benton

Albert Lee Benton, known to many as Lee, was born on December 13, 1959, in Milford, DE. He spent his life dedicated to farming, working tirelessly at Clifton Farms, where he cultivated a deep connection to the land and community.

Lee passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2025, in the comfort of his home in Lincoln, DE. He cherished the moments spent with his granddaughter and watching NASCAR, a hobby that brought him joy and excitement.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Mary E. (Fitzcharles) Benton. Their family includes his daughter, Jennifer Upton and her husband Jerry, and their children Randy, Reed, Owen, and Hunter; their son, Brandon Benton and fiancée Taylor Fisher, and their child Gracelynn; their son, Nicholas Benton and companion Mya Chandler. Lee is also survived by his stepchildren, Bryan Moore, Amanda Fulton, and Theresa and Ryan Mast, along with their spouses and children. He was the brother of Russell Benton and his wife Windy, Bruce Benton and his wife Melissa, and Tommy Benton. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruth (Handy) Benton, and his sister, Sandra Melvin. His memory will live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared.
