Cornelia B Yakish

Cornelia Brandreth Yakish nee Richardson, passed away after a long life on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 98 years of age. She grew up in Ocean City and Berlin, MD. She was a hairdresser and worked over the years in Berlin, Dover, Rehoboth, and Lewes. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joshua and Henry Richardson; and two sisters, Anna Richardson Onley and Marie Richardson Jarman. She is survived by one sister, Ida J. Richardson Fritz; her children, Susan Yakish Fitzpatrick, Theodore J. Yakish, Jr., and Donna Yakish Brown. She was the proud and loving grandmother of 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and also many nieces, nephews, as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 9 am at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 122 E. Pine St., Georgetown, DE 19947. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Berlin, MD.
